Bishop-Elect Anthony Gardner was born in Boston, Massachusetts.  He is the youngest son of the renowned Evangelist Maria Gardner.  He was raised in Oakland, California and received his elementary Christian education, until the age of twelve, under the leadership of Pastor Ernestine Cleveland Reems, Center of Hope Community Church.

Being led of the Spirit Evangelist Maria Gardner moved her family to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  There they were under the pastorate of Mother Irene A. Oakley, B.M. Oakley Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C.  It was there that he began to yield to the plan of God for his life working in the church in various aspects of ministry.  He then accepted the call that was upon him.  He is an ordained Elder in the body of The Church of God In Christ.  He also carries a Bachelors degree in Christian Education and a Masters Degree in Pastor Counseling from Logos Graduate School.  There he also met and married his wife Evangelist Monica Gardner together they have four beautiful children, Brandon, English, Ariel, and Anthony Jr.  Together they began a crusade ministry in Willingboro, New Jersey hundreds of souls were saved in these revivals.

Yet again he was called to another plateau in the ministry.  As of September 1994 in submission they began to pastor Life Giving Word Christian Center.  Since the start of the ministry the Lord has tremendously blessed them.  The church is located in Delran, New Jersey and it is growing by leaps and bounds.  One scripture that has become an icon to him is St. Luke 4:18, 19, “The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of the sight to the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised to preach the acceptable year of the Lord”.

He has dedicated his life to the Ministry of the Lord!
